The Goals & Challenges

Looking to increase monthly lead volume, Economy Fence Center sought a new lead-generation avenue to complement existing SEM and SEO strategies, which they already partnered with us to ideate and execute. We saw an opportunity to implement Google’s pay-per-lead platform, Local Services Ads. While these efforts continued to drive results, Economy Fence Center sought new ways to stay competitive in a crowded local market.

We introduced Google’s Local Services Ads, a pay-per-lead platform designed specifically for service-based businesses, with ad placements that appear above standard search ads in results. Unlike traditional pay-per-click advertising, Local Services Ads prioritize proximity and reputation over bid strategy. The goal was to optimize Economy Fence Center’s LSA presence to boost competitiveness in local search results and increase visibility in underserved service areas.

Our LSA Strategy

One of the initial challenges for Local Services Ads is verifying the advertiser, a required step before running LSAs. We worked with Economy Fence to gather verification materials, including business licenses and background checks, to prove their legitimacy and quality of service — all so Google felt confident “guaranteeing” them.

Lead Quality Audits

With Local Services Ads operating on a pay-per-lead model, we conducted ongoing call audits to evaluate lead quality and made profile updates and targeting adjustments based on our findings. These audits also allowed us to match leads back to Economy Fence Center’s CRM, giving us visibility into which LSA leads generated revenue.

Optimized Ad Schedule

Another LSA ranking factor is responsiveness to incoming calls or messages, we used data from GA4 and Google Ads to determine the optimal ad schedule — ensuring the ads ran during prime business hours, when missed calls would be infrequent and inquiries could be promptly handled.

The Results

With LSA, Odd Dog expanded Economy Fence Center’s digital presence beyond traditional search ads, gaining prominent placements at the top of Google search results. The LSA helped the business appear in the right place at the right time in key target markets, generating a 25% increase in monthly lead volume.

By matching qualified leads to its CRM, we confirmed LSA-generated revenue from ad spend and found that it yielded an impressive 10x return.
