Small Business Saturday is more than just a day on the calendar; it’s a reminder of how much local businesses shape our communities. From the neighborhood coffee shop that knows your order to the family-owned restaurant sourcing ingredients from just down the road, small businesses bring personality, creativity, and heart to the places we call home.
This year, Odd Dog is celebrating Small Business Saturday by highlighting the impact of shopping local and sharing some of our team’s favorite small businesses across Seattle, Portland, and Salt Lake City.
What Is Small Business Saturday?
Small Business Saturday began in 2010 as a way to support small, independent businesses during the busy holiday shopping season. Celebrated on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, it encourages people to shift their spending closer to home.
Behind every small business is a story, a family, or a dream, and even a single purchase can make a meaningful difference.
