See this post that Adam wrote back in 2013 as to why we, at Odd Dog, use WordPress exclusively for our clients.
#1 – Outstanding Support – WordPress started as a blogging platform, and now claims 23.9% of the internet’s websites and growing fast! That’s pretty huge. And with that many sites being run on the WordPress platform, the support community is pretty large that includes WordPress developers and enhancers from websites like https://www.devio.digital/
#2 – Easy to use and scale. With little to no know-how, you can manage your own website from the WordPress dashboard. It’s all you need for your content management system (CMS) As you grow, your site can grow with you. It’s a strong enough platform for the likes of The New Yorker and Best Buy, it can fully support your business and anything that you want to throw at it.
#3 – SEO Friendly. WordPress is loved by search engines. And there are several plug-ins that you can find that will ensure that your website is optimized to be found. We recommend and use Yoast as a first pass on making sure that each page that we create is optimized how we’d like. You can click here to find out more.
#4 Plugins. Would you like your customers fill out a form when they visit your site? Make sure that your website is linked to all of your social accounts? What about viewing your Google Analytics stats right on your WordPress dashboard? There are plugins for those! Without having to know any heavy coding, adding a plugin on your WordPress site can help you even further customize your needs. Note about plugins: Developers are updating their plugins all the time. You will want to make sure to stay on top of any updates. Also, having too many plugins installed on your website can cause it to perform slower.
#5 Generate Leads. Your website should be working for you 24/7. Getting traffic to your site doesn’t really matter if none of it tuns into business. With your WordPress website, you can set up systems to track leads and convert visitors into lifelong customers. WordPress can also easily integrate with some of the most popular sales tools out there, making managing and following up with your leads even easier.
Questions? We can help! If you are not sure how to make your website really work for you, give us a call. We’ll be happy to review your site and make some recommendations
