Facebook launched a Small Business Grants Program to provide some much-needed relief to those businesses being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.

As a small business, we applied for the grant and wanted to share our experience with you.

First off, who is eligible for the Facebook Business Grant?

In other words, does this grant apply to your business?

From Facebook:

To be eligible to apply, you must:

  • Be a for-profit company
  • Have between 2 and 50 employees
  • Have been in business for over a year
  • Have experienced challenges from COVID-19
  • Be in or near a location where Facebook operates

Does that sound like you? Then let’s continue…

What exactly does this grant include?

Facebook is offering a $4000 grant for the recipients in the US ($2500 cash, $1500 in optional ads credits.)

So, $2500 in cash to be put back into your business and $1500 to spend on Facebook or Instagram Ads.

You may be thinking that it’s a bad time to be running Facebook Ads or any kind of ads at all, but even in this uncertain time, that’s just not true.

Now is a great time to be running ads and getting in front of potential new customers. How can your company provide something useful right now? Maybe it’s not something that you sell directly, maybe it’s a piece of wisdom, some advice for people who are interested in your product or service, or even just some light entertainment. It’s ALL needed right now. And utilizing that ad spend to increase your reach is a great thing to do. This is a great time to increase your know, like, and trust factor wherever your business is showing up.
If you need some inspiration as to the kind of ads your company could be running right now, give us a shout. We’d be happy to help.
