Thanks for following along.
Here’s what we’ve been all in a tizzy about this week, and it’s all things GOOGLE!

GOOGLE LOCAL

• Google Insights report in Google My Business gets subjective attributes
This is a new feature that appears only available to restaurants and cafes at this time, but allows people to leave feedback like, “romantic”, “good for kids”, and “casual”. This data has been collected from feedback left by users and is now available on the insights tab in your Google My Business dashboard.

GOOGLE ADS

• Google introduces Smart Campaigns for small businesses – the first new solution to launch under the Google Ads brand
Last week we shared that Google AdWords was rebranding as Google Ads to pull more of their advertising products under one unified brand.
Smart Campaigns for small businesses will be the first new product under the suite and will be the first product aimed at new advertisers.
• Google expanding per-shop visitation and local conversion reporting.
Soon more off-line conversion data will become available for SMB’s who use location extensions in their Google Ads.
From Google, “The per-shop report shows you an estimate of how many in-person visits you’re getting for each of your physical locations and conversions from other shop-specific actions.”

GOOGLE

• Google speed update is now being released to all users
The Google Speed Update is now rolling out. It only impacts the mobile search rankings of the slowest sites on the internet.
Be sure to check your mobile speed score here.
