Challenges / Goals

SharpeVision came to us with a website that was functional, attractive, and fairly new, but it didn’t align with their brand vision. It became clear after meetings with their Creative Director that their site needed some extra ‘oomph’ in order to stand out in an ultra-competitive market. While also needing to highlight their cutting-edge brand and creatively communicate their company values and mission. 

Our Solution

A simple site architecture, beautiful imagery, thoughtful user interactions and bold Calls to Action would guide the user easily through glowing testimonials, impressive company information, and eventually to an online booking system. While the primary focus on this project was an incredible design, we made sure to incorporate essential SEO development pieces in order to promote SharpeVision’s Local SEO across their 3 locations.

Our Process

Our Graphic Designer/UX Designer worked to research and identify a website aesthetic that matched SharpeVision’s high-end and modern style. While also emphasizing their values as a trustworthy and diverse company. The site structure, layout, and user interactions were created using sketched and digital website mockups. After many homepage revisions, we found a look and feel that fit perfectly with the brand vision and identity. After that, internal pages came easy. We created beautiful service pages that provided essential information about SharpeVision’s various vision correction procedures. We also created separate, eye-catching location pages for their three offices in order to showcase the unique differences in staff and facilities at each. 

The project’s Marketing Coordinator faced a challenge with re-architecting the new site. The old site’s structure and UX was muddied by the user’s location. It used a location choice portal for the homepage which made proper SEO extremely difficult. We removed that feature, ensured proper homepage SEO, and simplified the user journey with cleaner site architecture. In addition, we worked closely with the SharpeVision team to create new keyword-optimized content to boost the overall keyword volume across the website. Thus, boosting the website’s SEO and providing even more essential educational information for potential customers. 

SharpeVision’s developer faced some challenges building out complex pieces of the design vision. But, it was all completed with flying colors – and some exciting and engaging custom animations. Each web page featured an intuitive backend, so the client can make important content updates without difficulty.

The Result

The website was launched in December of 2018. Comparing year-over-year data, so far, we’ve seen a 154% increase in Google Local traffic, 127.5% increase in direct traffic and a 57.68% increase in overall site traffic.

In addition, we have 55.5% more New Users, a 98% decrease in bounce rate, and an 85% increase in Pages/Session. 

Comparing this past month (August 2019) to August 2018, we’ve seen a 52% increase in total Google search impressions and an 86% increase in website clicks from their Google My Business pages.  

After the site was launched, we were able to set up call tracking and online appointment booking for easier conversion tracking. So while we don’t have year-over-year lead tracking, the client has stated that the summer of 2019 was the most successful season they’ve ever had. 

Hard metrics aside, SharpeVision’s new website and digital presence are stronger and more aligned with their brand vision than ever before.
